c. Attitude: Students learn how to give advice about sporting activities for owner.

1. Teacher: lesson plane, book, color chalks, pictures, MP3

Knowledge formation activities 
Act 2: Presentation 
* Students learn how to give advice about sporting activities for owner.
- Elicit some new words in the text and explain them by translation, explanation, picture 
- Read model, chorus, individual
- Check pronunciation
Act 3: Practice 
* Ss anwers the questions.
- Show Ss a picture of badminton.
- Ask Ss look at the pictures and observe.
- Give Ss listen to the tape.
- Ask them whether they know and play this sport and what to play badminton.
- Let students read the text carefully
- Call Ss work in pairs. Then practice in front of class.
- Give feedback
A4: Read. Then answer the questions
* New words.
- competition (n): cuộc thi
- organize (v): tổ chức
- participant (n): người tham gia
- increase (v): gia tăng
- volunteer (v): tình nguyện
- instead of (adv): thay vì
- there for: vì thế
* Answers:
a. He/ She takes part in WFF club
b. Because last year, their sch...m repeat.
- Call some pairs play the role before class about Nam and Ba
- Give Pairs work: practice with partner.
- Ask them to pick out the modal verbs and give the information of three forms as quickly as possible.
- Have Students ask – answer the questions (using the idea given in the dialogue)
- Give Students take notes.
1: Listen. Then practice with a partner.
a. Nam should finish his homework before he plays table tennis.
b. Nam will be ready in a few minutes.
c. Ba will finish a question for Math.
d. Ba has 2 paddles
Act 3: Practice 
- Call Ss to use Modal verbs: Can, must, have to, ought to, might 
- Let students listen to the cassette twice.
- Tell them to replace the underlined words by the cues given to make other dialogues.
- Give example a)
- Have Ss Pairs work: practice their own dialogue before the class.
- Ask and answer by using the modal verbs to write the invitation.
- Correct their mistakes if there is.
+ Affirmative: S + might / can/must/should/ have to/ has to/ ought to + v (bare inf)
+ Negative: S + mightn’t/ can’t/ shouldn’t/ mustn’t oughtn’t to/ don’t have to/ doesn’t have to + v
+ Interrogative:
Can / Must / Should + S + V (bare inf)?
Do / does + S + have to + v (bare inf.).
Act 4: Consolidation 
- Have Ss make their own dialogues using the pictures and the information in the box
- Call on some pairs to practice their own dialogue.
- Give feedback
4. Homework
- Aim: remember modal verbs.
- T: Review all them
- Ss prepare: Unit 14: B 1

I. Objectives

a. Knowledge:
- Reading a dialogue to know what kinds of programs Ba and Nga like to watch.
- Vocabulary: cartoon, weather forecast, fistful, children’s program, to prefer
- Grammar:	- Like/ prefer + to infinitive
	- Like/ prefer + gerund
b. Skills: listening, ...swer the questions: 
a. Does Nga watch a lot of TV? Why?/ Why not?
à No, She doesn’t. Because there aren’t any good programs for teenagers.
b. What does Ba like to watch on TV?
à Ba likes to watch sport shows, cartoons and movies.
c. What does Nga like to watch on TV?
à Nga likes to watch programs about teenagers in other countries 
d. Why doesn’t Nga like music programs on TV?
à Because they don’t play the kind of music she likes
e. What is Nga going to do this evening?
à Nga is going to listen to the radio and may be read a book.
Act 4: Consolidation 
T asks and Ss answer:
1. What do you like to watch on TV?
2. What are you going to do this evening?
3. How many hours do you watch TV a day?
4. Homework
- Aim: remember to talk about progame on TV
