I. Aims:

          - By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to know about the ten most popular sports which teenagers in the USA like best and know the names of some sports . They will know how to change from adjectives to adverbs.

          - Focus on reading & writing skill .

II. Teaching Aids: 

            Extra boards, Pictures , tape.

III. Procedures:

1.Class organization:

  1. Greetings.
  2. Checking the attendances.

2.Review of the previous lesson:

  1. Ask Ss some questions such as :

+ Do you like playing sports ?

+ What sport do you play ?

+ When do you play …….?

+ Who do you often play with ?

+ What do you think about ………?

  1. Remark and lead in new lesson .

3.New lesson:

-Call on some Ss to read the text aloud .
-Have Ss answer the question 
-Have Ss work in pairs asking and answering the questions .
-Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class .
-Ask Ss to read the text and check the answer. 
-Introduce the situation of the lesson , then ask Ss to look at the pictures and call the names of the pictures .
-Explain some new words to Ss .
-Introduce how to change adjectives into adverbs and the use of Adj and Adv :
-Ask Ss to make sentences using adjectives and adverbs 
-Have Ss look at the books and listen to the tape .
-Have Ss work in pair...nt of the text .They will continue to talk about sports and change the adjectives in the brackets to adverbs.

-Explain some new words to Ss.
 -Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer the question: what kind of sports in the picture ? What is WFF? WTS?
-Call on some Ss to answer
-Have Ss read new words in chorus and individually .
-Ask Ss to read the text in silent .
-Call on some Ss to read the text aloud.
-Have Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the questions .
-Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class .
-Correct the mistakes and give the correct answers .
-Ask Ss to copy down .
-Ask Ss to complete the passage with the correct adverbs in brackets .
-Explain some new words to Ss .
-Have Ss exchange the result with the partner 
-Call on 2=> 3 Ss to give the results in front of the class .
-Correct and give the correct answers 
-Ask Ss to write in the notebooks .
-Read the text .
-Listen and write down .
-Read new words in chorus and individually .
-Read the text in silent .
-Read the text aloud .
-Work in pairs .
-Practice in front of the class .
-Practice reading in front of the class .
-Complete the passage with the correct adverbs .
-Listen and write down .
-Exchange the result with the partner .

-Read the dialogue again to find the answers .

-He ought to do his homework before playing table tennis .

He must finish his homework before he plays table tennis .
Nam will be ready in a few minutes .
Ba will finish a question for math .

4.Consolidation:
Give some cues and ask Ss to practice :
+ Nam / before / soccer / do homework .
+ Lan / when / swimming / swim with adult.
+ We / after meals / brush teeth .
 5.Homework:
-Copy the answers in the notebooks.
-Prepare Unit 13 (B2)
